Bangor rode the magical arm of Castel Núñez in a 4-0 shutout win over Newark. He shackled them on 3 hits and fanned 9. Almost to a man, the Newark Gunners said he had them guessing wrong all game long.

Justin Seabrook of the Newark Gunners and Turi Villa of the Providence Steamrollers got into a wrestling match yesterday at Daly-Schmidt Stadium and now must pay the consequences for violating league rules. They have both been assessed 7-game suspensions by the league for inciting the heated altercation between the two clubs.
In 66 games this season Seabrook has compiled a .314 batting average with 76 hits and 28 home runs. He has also scored 58 times and knocked in 70 runs.
To date this season Villa is 6-5 with 17 starts and an ERA of 5.78 with 85 strikeouts in 104.1 innings. |

Noel Miskell, the 38-year-old Newark hurler, tamed the Poughkeepsie Sheriffs 1-0 at Daly-Schmidt Stadium today. He limited them to 5 hits while fanning 8 and walking 0.
