It was announced today that the two teams came to agreement on a trade. Boston will get 31-year old shortstop Dante Forchion and 36-year old starting pitcher Denny Proffitt and Brooklyn will pick up 23-year old minor league left fielder David Carlile, a 5th round draft pick and a 6th round draft pick in return. "I'm not surprised by the news," one of the players told reporters, "It's part of the business and I understand that. I am looking forward to playing for the Patriots."
