Whether he was brought in to squelch a rally or just finish the game, Serabia gave his best at each opportunity. As a result, today the Spiders reliever was named the latest West Empire State Pitcher of the Year winner.

Syracuse whipped Ithaca 11-8 and Audy Espinosa displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Spiders Ballpark.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told BNN reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. Audy is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have."
The 21-year-old second baseman for the Spiders collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats to get his name in the record book.
