| Breaking News |  | Sunday, June 29th, 1958: Freeze Blisters Poughkeepsie Angelo Freeze really sizzled at the plate in today's 15-4 win over Sheriffs. The Bangor first baseman blistered Poughkeepsie for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Freeze was too tough to get out today," the Sheriffs skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
A. Freeze struck out in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off P. Villarreal in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.

It was a sensational game for him. He told the press, "Unbelievable feeling. It felt good. 5 for 6! It does wonders for your batting average, too."
