Pacífico Feliberty collected 3 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Syracuse Spiders, beat Buffalo 9-3.
After the ballgame, Feliberty quipped to a BNN reporter, "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball. I'm pretty excited how things are clicking."
P. Feliberty hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th and flied out in the 7th.
Feliberty is currently hitting at a .496 pace with no home runs, 19 RBIs and has scored 18 times.

Everyone in Niagra Falls is getting excited about Mike Merez's hitting streak. The 23-year-old catcher extended it today to 20 games with 1 hit against Buffalo. The Power took the Ice 11-2.
M. Merez singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th.
In 1958 Merez is currently batting .321 with 6 home runs and 80 RBIs. In 63 games he has reached base at a .353 rate and scored 53 runs to date.

 | Sunday, June 22nd, 1958: McPhun Bashes 6 Base Hits
Stanford McPhun told the press after his 6-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard."
Well, that's just what McPhun of the Ithaca Scholars did against the Buffalo Ice. He went to the plate 6 times and 6 times he delivered base hits, much to the chagrin of the Ice, who suffered a 14-7 defeat.
"Not much that I can say," offered the losing manager, "he just hammered the heck out of us."
S. McPhun singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
This year McPhun is batting .381 with 2 home runs.
