The season is finished for Lucas Ebeling of the Cambridge Daggers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Daggers second baseman suffered a ruptured bicep tendon while throwing the ball in a recent game against the Portland Steeldogs. Team doctors said it would take at least 11-12 months to heal.
This season Ebeling is batting .263 with 52 RBIs, 56 runs scored and 8 home runs. |

Kenneth Brown, center fielder for the Hartford Lightning, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 2 hits in his club's 21-6 victory today over the Cambridge Daggers at Lightning Ballpark.
K. Brown doubled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and grounded out in the 8th.
Brown is currently batting .432 with 13 home runs and 160 RBIs.

Lightning left fielder Garrison Bertrand was beaming today after his team had beaten Cambridge 21-6 at Lightning Ballpark. He had contributed 2 hits to the victory and extended his hitting streak to 33 games.
"Life is good when the hits keep coming like they have in the last few weeks. I hope I can keep it up a little while longer."
G. Bertrand singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and walked in the 7th.
