Álex Dorane of the Lancaster Churns shut out the Allentown Ringers 9-0, stopped them on 5 hits and had 13 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
After the game his manager said, "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw. When Álex stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."

Lancaster is riding skyhigh on cloud nine today after they won the 5th Penn-Franklin Championship title in its team's history.
The Churns put the Allentown Ringers out of their misery with a 9-0 victory at Ballpark of Lancaster and took the series 3-2.
They finished the regular season with a 61-51 mark and wound up first in the Penn.

There was no one hotter in the Pennsylvania Baseball Association last week as Geraldo Montalvan attacked enemy pitching with a vengeance to collect the Player of the Week Award.
The 30-year-old Allentown center fielder batted .444 with 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs and 7 RBIs.
Montalvan on the season is hitting .311 with 21 home runs. His stats include 53 RBIs and 85 runs scored.
