His splitter was diving, his slider was breaking and the Kings were swinging and looking bad. In the solid 3-hit shutout the Yaks hurler chalked up 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
"As the game went on, he got stronger," his manager said. "I thought he really turned it up a notch in the eighth and ninth and probably threw his best breaking balls in those two innings. They put a lot of balls in play early in the count because he was throwing strikes."
Currently Charron has a record of 8-8 with 65 strikeouts and 61 walks in 105.1 innings and a 5.21 ERA. | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 55-55, .500 PCT | | Position in Division | 3rd, 16.0 GB | | Record at home | 25-30, .455 PCT | | Record on the road | 30-25, .545 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 1-7, .125 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 12-14, .462 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 16-12, .571 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 39-43, .476 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in April | 15-13, .536 PCT | | Record in May | 10-16, .385 PCT | | Record in June | 16-12, .571 PCT | | Record in July | 14-14, .500 PCT |
