Monday, September 8th, 1958: Pothier Wins NOL 1958 Outstanding Hitter Award
Lou Pothier of the Owen Sound Beavers had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 1958.

The 23-year-old first baseman put up a .314 average and a .356 on-base percentage, piling up 154 hits, 35 doubles, 4 triples, 15 home runs, 89 RBIs and 69 runs scored.

Sunday, September 7th, 1958: NOL's Top Pitcher is Shimohira
Kenko Shimohira was overpowering this season for the Owen Sound Beavers and earned the 1958 Northern Ontario League Outstanding Pitcher Award for his efforts.

In a standout year he went 17-8 in 41 starts with 131 strikeouts in 238.1 innings and a 3.02 ERA.

Saturday, September 6th, 1958: NOL Honors Glove Wizard Award Winners
"Ball hawk" is a good name for the members of the defensive elite, the players who make leather shine. The fielders who crashed the wall, leaped in the air, and dived in the hole better than any others during 1958 have been tabbed as the Northern Ontario League's Glove Wizard Award winners. Here are this year's best:
