Harold Voaden's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Bangor left fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month.
In June he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award.
During the month he hit .398 with 10 doubles, no triples and no home runs. Voaden also scored 14 times and drove in 10 runs.
For the season, Voaden is hitting at a .357 clip with no home runs, 17 RBIs and has scored 18 runs. He has 50 hits, 3 walks and a .374 on-base percentage. |

John Livingston earned June's Rookie of the Month honors in the Miller for last month's performance. The boyish Pittsburgh catcher might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level.
Livingston hit .250 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 9 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award.
In the 1958 season Livingston is batting .257 with 67 hits and 12 home runs. He has scored 36 times and batted in 42. |

Providence Steamrollers starter Alfredo León has collected the Kopra Pitcher of the Month award for a run of lights-out performances.
"This town really appreciates it when you're going well," said León. "They might boo you when you're getting knocked around, but they love you when you're mowin' them down."
In June the 28-year-old compiled a 5-1 record in 6 starts with a 2.62 ERA. He threw 44.2 innings, fanning 33 while walking 19.
Looking at his season stats, León has won 13 and lost 4, collecting 89 strikeouts and 47 walks in 128 innings with a 3.66 ERA. |
