Tuesday, August 30th, 1966: Arioch Champion of the Jason Russell Camp for Disadvantaged Youths enjoyed a gourmet season at the dish in 1966. With the numbers he put up, there was little doubt that he'd be taking home the MBBA Grand Slam Hitting Award.
He put up 66 hits in 141 at-bats for a .468 average while amassing 14 doubles, 2 triples, 9 home runs, 76 walks, a .656 on-base percentage, 42 RBIs and 71 runs scored.

Monday, August 29th, 1966: Forrester Westgate of the Jason Russell Camp for Disadvantaged Youths impressed voters as one of the elite pitchers in the MBBA this year. He capped off a sensational 8-0 season by taking home the coveted Grand Slam Pitching Award today.
Making 9 starts, he tossed 69.2 innings, struck out 48, walked 10 and registered a 2.58 ERA.
