Tuesday, January 31st, 1967: The Northern Ontario League unveiled their 1967 schedule earlier today as the preseason kicks off and clubs get ready for spring training and a rigorous exhibition schedule.
Sébastien Chagnon Wins Best Bat Trophy
Thursday, September 8th, 1966: Sébastien Chagnon, Halifax's outstanding first baseman, took home the Northern Ontario League Outstanding Hitter Award for 1966.

This season he put up some strong stats, including a .331 batting average and a .404 on-base percentage. In 128 games he piled up 160 hits, 39 doubles, 4 triples, 19 home runs, 82 RBIs and scored 73 times.
Top NOL Pitcher Announced
Wednesday, September 7th, 1966: This season's Northern Ontario League Outstanding Pitcher Award trophy went to Charlie Cleary, the ace of the Owen Sound pitching staff.

He dominated all season, finishing with 14 wins and 7 losses and a 3.59 ERA. In 30 starts he worked a total of 198 innings, striking out 113, while walking 30. Other clubs managed to hit only .258 against him.
